The EPS50 is a battery-powered emergency power supply for LED strip backup lighting in tunnels. Provides 60-120 minutes of autonomous illumination during power outages, meeting mining safety regulations for emergency evacuation route lighting.
Post-2010 mining regulations require underground mines to maintain secondary evacuation routes with emergency lighting. The emergency route must have emergency lighting that turns on automatically to facilitate evacuation during the contingency and the autonomy or battery backup for emergency LED strip lighting must be for a period where people have enough time to completely evacuate the tunnel and this period must not be less than 60 minutes, preferably 120 minutes.
